Date of test: September 19, 2003
Type of performance test: High throughput, Intel gigabit controller, Intel Xeon platform, simultaneous 2-port test
Gigabit card: Model 5262 dual-port PMC (PCI-X mode)
Platform:VxWorks 5.5, 2-GHZ Xeon, SuperMicro P4DL6 mainboard, Serverworks LE system controller
Frame size: 1500 bytes
Sustained throughput: 246MB per port (492MB/sec total)
Gigabit controller: Intel 82546GB

Description:  The following driver-level statistics for ports 0 and 1 show both ports running a high throughput test simultaneously at about 246 megabytes per second per port for a total system throughput of 492 megabytes/sec sustained (3.93Gb). Frame rate is about 164,000 1500-byte frames per second on each port for a total of about 328,000 fps. Gigabit controller used for test is Model 5262 dual-port PMC (PCI-X mode) on a 2-GHZ Intel Xeon system (SuperMicro P4DL6, Serverworks LE chipset) in 133 MHZ PCI-X mode. Operating system is vxWorks 5.5. Statistics highlighted in bold show throughput in both bytes and frames per second.
